I visited a few places over the last two weeks, and I've got lots of things planned for the next few months. Work is very busy now, and I have focused much of my attention on getting the job done. Traveling is how I keep the stress under control, and so far it seems to be working well.
My kid and I decided to have a father/son night at Descanso gardens. In the summer time, this garden stays open until 8pm on Thursdays, and it's very beautiful in the twilight.

Over the weekend, I took a cruise to Santa Cruz Island. This is one of the channel islands off the coast of California, near Santa Barbara. The island is beautiful, although a bit desolate.

On Monday, June 6th, the Huntington Library had a member's only night (usually they are closed on Mondays). They had lots of rather interesting entertainment, music and art, and free food. It's one of the benefits of being a member!

A friend and I went to the Pacific Aquarium via subway on Saturday. I had a great time, especially in the aviary. We also took a boat trip around the Long Beach Harbor.

Sunday I was feeling a little worn out from the long trip on Saturday, so I just made a short trip down to the Los Angeles Natural History Museum.

And while I was there, I checked out the butterflies.
